Saturday`s was tight until the 6th inning when the Broncos jump all over the Eagles. We were able to score 10 runs in the inning to put the game away. Key hits by John Albi and Grant Labbe fueled the out burst of runs. Mark McElroy pitched a great game, with 8 strike outs and spreading 5 hits around in his 6 innings. Kyler K. came in and shut the door on Eastern Washington in the 7th to end the game on the 10 run mercy rule. Sunday`s game was shorten due to lightning and rain and the second game was postponed. The Broncos started much like the weather COLD. The Eagles scored 6 in the 1st and went on to get the 8-2 win on the shorten game, to bad because when it was called the Broncos had 2 runners in scoring position and were getting the mojo going. Mark McElroy`s performance has earned him the Pitcher of the week for our conference, congrats and lets get 3 from the Vandals this week!

Broncos held on for a 8-4 victory. Game 2 was also a close game through the 5th inning with the Rebels holding onto a 5-3 lead. The Broncos exploded in the bottom of the inning with 10 runs fueled by a 2 run double by Brian Begerow. The Broncos coasted the rest of the game for a 13-7 win. Kyler Knieriem had a very good complete game from the bump. He sprayed 12 hits around only giving up 5 earned runs while striking out 4.

Sunday at Storey Park in meridian, started off with a bang for the Bronco`s. Our 3 game series with the Oregon State had a little bit of everything. They won the first game 7-2. It was a hard fought game with the Broncos stranding too many runners. The second game was a different story as the Broncos pounded out 11 hits and 9 runs, to back a strong pitching performance from Mark McElroy. The rubber game on Sunday was a little rough to say the lease. But overall we saw alot of good things possible from this young team against a very good Oregon State club.
