After a slow start the Broncos responded with two victories over a tough Weber State team. Game One was an extra inning 8-9 loss, that we had several chances but could never get that key hit to bust things open. Bryce Vaughn (2-4), Justin Giesige (3-6), Noah Souza (3-3) and Austin Tomlinson (2-4) all had a great game at the plate. Game two was a pitchers dual with Max Phillips going 5 innings and only gave up 3 hits and a single run to keep it close until the bats came alive. Jack Almeida (2-4), Chester Pruett (2-4) produced at the plate along with two huge pitch hits from Matt Robinett and Spencer Sylvester. Pitchers Jack Furry and Justin Giesige each came in relief to shut the door in the 4-1 victory. Game three was another pithchers` battle with Spencer Sylvester going 6 very effiencent innings while only facing 21 batters, zero runs with the backing of a strong defensive effort. Justin Giesige (2-4), Chester Pruett (2-5) and Matthew Johnson (2-4) all had good games at the plate. A big 5 run inning in the 8th inning sealed the deal on offense as Maui Jack Almeida came in and slammed the door in the 7-1 victory.

Up next is our last home series of the year with Montana State, so don`t miss out on some great BRONCO Baseball this coming weekend!
