This year the tournament has decided to use the Virgin River Hotel / Casino as our Hotel of choice. For Reservations please call 877-438-2929, don`t forget to use the Group Code (3SIS20) to get your team discounts. Last year the area sold out of rooms for our tournament time table so book early! There is also a High School Baseball, Softball and youth soccer tournament that weekend. The team is planning as of today to travel on Thursday March 5th, play 2 games on Friday and Saturday and then travel home Sunday March 8th. Its about a 10-11 hour drive from Boise to Mesquite. Every year Boise State has the most fans of all the particpating teams travel to this tournament. Great weekend of Bronco ball this weekend down at Hawks Memorial stadium! Saturday started slow for the Broncos as the Zags pounded out 14 hits in game one in a 13-7 loss for the home team. The guys battle hard with Keegan Cottrell (2-3), Noah Souza (2-4) and Nick Goulter (2-4) all having a multi hit game. Game two was a pitchers dual with Jeremy Horvat and Jacob Camarena combining to hold Gonzaga to 4 runs on 6 hits. Noah S. (2-4) and AJ Mayer (2-4) lead the offense that chip away all game. Then AJ provided the 2 run walk off double in the bottom of the 7th for the 5-4 victory. Game three was a total team effort as the Broncos used 5 pitchers and 13 position players to wear down the Zags for a 10 Inning, 10-9 Bronco victory. Jace Okamoto had a good day at the plate going 2-5 with 3 RBI`s and the pitched 3 strong innings. The death blow came from Trevor Luckey`s 2 out, bottom of the 10th blast off the center field fence for the walk off Hit! Boy, what a beautiful weekend of baseball with Broncos winning twice with walk off hits.
