The Bobcats started game 1 with a leadoff double off of the Broncos starting pitcher Wilson Moore, but that would be the last Bobcat to reach base safely in the game as Wilson settle in and struckout 5 in 4 very efficient innings. Clayton Beach came in relief in the 5th and sent the Bobcats back to the dugout in order for the 11-1 victory. The offense was lead by leadoff Brady Armitage, going 1-2, 3 runs, 1 RBI and a stolen base. Trevor Lucky delivered the big blow in the Broncos 8 run 4th Inning with a bases loaded clearing double. Trevor went 2-3, 1 run, 4 RBI`s with his 2 doubles. Game 2 was much of the same with Mark Scheiber getting us started with a strong pitching performance in his 4 innings of scoreless ball while striking out 4. The Broncos were able to chip away in the 9 inning game 9 runs from a good Bobcat pitching staff. Again Brady and Trevor lead the Bronco offense in the 9-2 victory. Brady was 2-3 with 2 singles, 2 runs, 2 BB and a stolen base. Trevor again had a multi-hit game going 2-4, 1 run, 4 RBI`s and a 2 run dinger that really put the hurt on the Bobcats in the 8th. Game 3 was a 12-3 victory for the Broncos that was again started with a strong pitching performance from starter Justin Redfern and finished with relief help from Brady Armitage, James Pizzuti, Angelo Yslava and Grant Gaynor. These guys allowed only 3 runs with 7 strikeouts and only 3 free passes. The offense was pace by 9 different Broncos scoring a run. Sam Stoner was 2-4 with a single and a triple, 2 runs, 1 stolen base and a hit by pitch, Grant Gaynor also was 2-4, 2 runs, 1 RBI! Strong pitching, timely hitting and a very tough defense all combined for the sweep of the Bobcats, but the execution of the little things that sometimes are not recorded in the stats is what watching these Broncos play so fun! Great Weekend and GO BRONCOS!
