8 Broncos on 2015 All-Region Team

image The Boise State Broncos had a great season this year, which included a berth into the regional tournament. 8 very deserving Broncos were honored on this years Northern Pacific All-Regional Team. First team selections were Kevin Coburn at second base with a team leading .415 batting average and 14 stolen bases (12th in the nation) . Richard Hoppe at Shortstop, was picked for his rock solid defense and a .409 average, he also scored 25 runs (16th in nation). Cooper Thomas from centerfield also had a .409 average, .536 OBP, 19 stolen bases (6th in the nation) and he scored 31 runs (10th in the nation). Marcus Brother was selected as the 1st team relief pitcher with his 1.20 ERA. The second team selections were Tyson Dellasilva for the outfield and as a starting pitcher, Tyson lead the team with 21 RBI`s, 7 doubles and a .370 average, he was 5-1 record from the mound. Marcus Brother was also selected to the outfield, he had a .341 average and a .473 OBP. Taylor Archuleta was selected as the 3rd team catcher, he was 4th on the BSU squad with a .372 batting average. Nick Patla and Hayden Stauffer were chosen as starting pitchers, Nick had a 3-1 record while pitching with a bad ankle most of the season and Hayden had a 5-1 record from the bump and he lead the team in homeruns. None of this would have ever happened without the support of the rest of the team, everyone chipped in to help the team. Scott Lyness at 1st base had a .370 average, along with Scott at 1st was Connor Tweet with a .333 average. Curtis Davidson roamed outfield making several big plays. Kjell Holmes was a vacuum behind the plate, throwing out 4 runners this year and calling good games. Every single player helped this team and was needed to reach the post season, and they are all eligible to return next year! Congratulations to ALL!
